ZAGO Unifeed AVM

ZAGO Unifeed AVM Series TMR mixers are equipped with the “Tornado” vertical mixing auger.
The AVM Series (Antares Vertical Mixer) in trailed and stationary versions are available in mixing chamber volumes from 1.5 to 44 m3.

The self-propelled AVM Wolf Avant series has capacities from 13 to 33 m3

The vertical mixing system is characterized by the movement of one or more vertical augers with a constant spiral pitch. A series of sickle-shaped blades with a progressive profile are mounted on the edges of the augers.

Thanks to the particular shape of the ZAGO “Tornado” vertical auger, the product is pushed upwards, creating a continuous tornado-like flow along the walls of the hopper. The advantages of “vertical mixing” are the simplification of cutting and a significant reduction in feed compaction compared to traditional systems manufactured in the 1980s.

Zago’s long-standing experience has led to the perfection of the vertical mixer system that provides shorter mixing times.
The unique “TORNADO” auger equipped with specially shaped blades is driven by a heavy-duty angle gearbox. These robust components and the auger design ensure the processing of whole bales of straw, hay and forage as well as their mixing with other ingredients. The high rotation speed of the auger and the large adjustable counter-blades provide an efficient mixing process.
